O Produtor, tasting note published in September 27th 2020
Opaque ruby colour, black berry fruit aromas with a floral touch and well integrated barrel. Very full-bodied, still with some tannins from its youth that give it some adstrigence,
in a high quality ripe fruit base, integrated with a light touch of wood from the ageing barrel. Long and persistent finish.
Cast planted in 2014, harvested in excellent ripening conditions. Vinified in a rotary vat with controlled temperature and 15 days of maceration, including a pre-fermentation cold maceration. After malolactic fermentation it aged 18 months in new and used French and American oak barrels. Bottled in August 2019.

Herdade da Ajuda
In Herdade da Ajuda we cultivate a love for the land and for what is extracted from it. Vineyards, dryland crops, pastoralism and the montado, raise the property to the highest exponent of the optimization of its natural resources and conscious environmental sustainability. With an affectionate dedication and respect for the balance of the environment, we direct our attention daily with the care we apply in the formation of a child.
As a result of this affection and the energy we give all year round, a soul force grows within the strain that gives birth, year after year, to the hope of always achieving more and better. From here we start an invitation to a guided tour through our wine portfolio, which is marked by its strong personality, fruity sensations and the character of a different Alentejo.
