Herdade Aldeia de Cima

We studied the history of wine and vineyards in the Alentejo region, a continuous presence in time and space of tradition, geology, textures, and aromas. We preserve the genuineness because we feel from the beginning that we have time. We sought out the traditional grape varieties. We found them, they were close to us. It is in the simplest processes that we achieve transparent wines, and the Reserve Red is a wine of the territory, of emotion, an authentic messenger. We wanted to understand the nature of the micro-terroirs, and we succeeded.”

Aging: 30% of the blend for 12 months in French Oak barrels 500 liters (2nd year); 25% of the blend for 6 months in Cocciopesto amphorae 1000 liters; 20% of the blend for 4 months in Terracotta Tinajas 150 liters; 25% of the blend for 6 months in Nico Velo Cement tanks 2600 liters.

Winemaking: Jorge Alves and António Cavalheiro.
