1769 Family Company
Januário Alonso, the fifth direct descendant of a family of winegrowers who, since the early days, dedicated themselves to the art of cultivating the vine and, later, to wine production. He expresses great admiration for his grandfather Januário Augusto Alonso, grandson of a Spaniard, fruit of the Galician immigration movement in the north of Portugal between the 17th and 17th centuries, when seasonal opportunities arose at the cyclical pace of agricultural production for relatively large markets. Januário Augusto Alonso, a man of the land, hard-working, dynamic and with a great entrepreneurial spirit. An example for the whole family, also passed on by his father, Carlos José Alonso and currently sharing this taste and values with his son, Luís Carlos Alonso.
