Framingham
Framingham Pinot Noir leans towards a more “feminine” style, exhibiting grace and charm with strongly varietal flavors and good structure to add interest.
winemaking
The fruit comes from four locations in the Wairau Valley, with a mixture of clones represented. Each plot was harvested by hand and vinified separately; the number of whole bunches included and the turning time varied between plots. In total, the wine has around 10% whole bunch, an average of 20 days of skin aging and was aged in French oak barrels for 10 months, of which around 20% was new. Bottling without fining or filtration.
