O Produtor, tasting note published in May 28th 2020

Beautiful floral aroma, all young and garbous, blue fruit, light barrel notes. Milky and creamy in mouth, very well in the definition of flavor, keeps the elegant floral register, alive tannin still well present, all asking for some more bottle time.

Flor do Côa

In the Douro cradle in Costa Boal, where the old family cellar dating back to 1857 is located, maintaining traditional granite lagars, the Flor do Côa Reserva is born. At the beginning, there are the vineyards. As attested by the two-time Enologist of the Year award winner, Paulo Nunes, in the cellar, there is a commitment to respecting and valuing the harvested fruit, the grape.

Vinification: Transport in 20 kg crates, destemming with crushing, pre-fermentation maceration for 24 hours, inoculation followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks below 24ºC.

Aging: Aging in French oak barrels where it remains for 12 months.
