O Produtor, tasting note published in April 21st 2024

A young red wine with an intense color. Smooth on the palate, with aromas of spices, chocolate, and plum notes. Velvety, with soft tannins and balanced acidity, the Flor de Sal Tinto gives us a complex and intense finish.

Flor de Sal

“Flor de Sal,” a brand associated with the 5th generation of Ervideira wines, embodies a spirit and desire to do something different, irreverent, and innovative.

In its blends, there is a play between national grape varieties and international ones, reflecting completely distinct yet seductive profiles.

There’s nothing like (to) taste.

Harvest: Mechanical and Nighttime.

Vinification: The grape varieties chosen are Aragonês and Syrah. The alcoholic fermentation of Aragonês took place in “vinimatics” (rotating stainless steel tanks), while the Syrah ferments in lagars with mechanical foot treading.

It pairs very well with roasted meat dishes, lamb, partridge, and wild boar, as well as aged cheeses. Try it with chocolate desserts.

Nelson Rolo is the head winemaker.
