Intense ruby in colour, the nose is rich and fruity, with delicate notes of vanilla due to barrel ageing. The palate is full-bodied and persistent, with a smooth, elegant finish. It goes well with lamb cooked the old-fashioned way in the Alentejo.
Vinification
The grapes are 100% destemmed; 5 days of cold maceration; alcoholic fermentation begins at 20oC and ends at 25°C in stainless steel vats.
