O Produtor, tasting note published in May 23rd 2019
Intense ruby colour. Intense dark cherry and blueberry aroma with a final floral touch. In the mouth the tannins are firm but elegant, has volume and a good acidity. It is a balanced wine that fills the mouth.

The Dona Matilde estate is one of the oldest properties in the Douro region. Previously known as Enxodreiro, the quinta was part of the first demarcation, ordered by the Marquis of Pombal in 1756, and was part of the properties with authorisation to produce “feitoria wines”, a synonymous expression of the best wines, those intended for export. Even today the entire vineyard has letter A, the highest classification in the region, used in the Port wine sector.
