Dominus 2014 offers aromas of cardamom and forest floor with deep blue fruit, layered silky tannins, and a beautiful, long finish.
At Dominus Estate, the 2014 vintage was characterized by a very dry start to winter, with heavy rains in February and continuous precipitation in March and April. Average temperatures were higher than historical averages, with small heat spikes in June (101°F) and July (103°F). No heat spikes were recorded in August or September.

The character of a wine is defined by the grapes at harvest. With our extensive vineyard efforts, once we have the grapes in hand, our winemaking practice is minimalist:
Thorough selection of the clusters by hand.
Optical sorting of the berries.
Gentle pumping-over – delicately extracts aromas, colour, tannin, and reveals the personality of each blend.
Manual stacking from barrel to barrel every three months, using the skiff.
