O Produtor, tasting note published in August 23rd 2020
Wine with a deep ruby-red color, marked by aromas of ripe black fruits such as plum and blackberry, with a delicate touch of vanilla from aging in oak barrels.
It was on the steep slopes of the Douro Valley that the world’s oldest wine Appellation of Origin was born, delimited and legislated in 1756 under the direct influence of the Marquis of Pombal. These slopes, decorated with vineyards uniquely arranged in terraces and steps, give the region a unique and unmistakable landscape, classified as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 2001.
Although particularly difficult to work, these soils, in addition to being excellent for the longevity of the vines, allow for the production of highly concentrated, unique wines.
Vinification and aging: Fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged for 9 months in French oak barrels.
Winemaker: Carlos Eduardo.
