Defio Natcool

DEFIO is a Claret (lightly coloured red wine), created from the Baga grape variety, and belongs to the NatCool family. It is available in a kraft cardboard shipping box, which contains four 250 ml cans, and is a limited and numbered collector’s edition. The production, labelling and canning was done by hand in a very artisanal process. All materials used in the can are recyclable and sustainable. The Baga grapes were selected in the vineyard and on the winery’s selection belt in Quinta de Baixo and went through a total destemming process. Alcoholic fermentation began in contact with the skins, in a stainless steel tank. The must was bled and fermentation was completed, already without the skins, in another stainless steel tank, where malolactic fermentation also took place.
