It presents a bright clarity of cherry red color with an open intensity and tears with medium persistence. On the nose, this wine presents an aroma of pronounced intensity, characterized by spices, red fruits, mint, and eucalyptus. It is noteworthy for the caramelized and smoky aromas acquired during aging in French oak barrels.

The taste is dry with refreshing acidity and a light alcohol content with a light body. In the finish, the presence of balanced tannins is noticeable. The mouthfeel is similar to the nose, of fine quality. Medium persistence, pleasant, and harmonious balance.

Crono Dão

The Crono Jaen red wine is a limited edition of 574 bottles, from the DOC Dão appellation, with minimal intervention and superior quality. It is vegan certified and carbon neutral, with 100% CO2 emissions compensation.

It originates from a flat land in Gouveia, a region surrounded by mountains, with a temperate climate where the Mediterranean influence predominates over the Atlantic, with hot and dry summers and rainy and cold winters, with an annual precipitation of about 1,400 mm and granite soils. A terroir that gives rise to wines with slow and prolonged evolution, soft and velvety wines with great complexity.

Viticulture: Excellence, sustainable viticulture, with minimal intervention, with a simple principle of respecting the terroir and the particularities of the year, results in a wine with an honest, elegant, and balanced profile.

Vinification: Handpicked, where only the best bunches were directed to a stainless steel lagar, where they fermented with the whole stem, with light manual treading. Carbonic maceration. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is pressed and transferred to a 500 L French oak barrel, with medium-high toast, second use, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and ages for 10 months. Bottled in July 2022.

The Crono Jaen red wine is an excellent companion to drink alone or accompanied, in a relaxed moment, and pairs beautifully with a cheese and charcuterie board, salads, pasta, grilled dishes, and even stews. It is a wine with good aging potential but can be enjoyed now.

A family project created by two cousins ​​passionate about wine, João Correia Lino and Manuel Ribas Fernandes, who share the idea of ​​creating a sustainable structure combining wines of superior quality with support for environmental and social projects. Wines from limited productions and low intervention that allow the purity of the grape varieties to be appreciated.

Currently, we are focused on producing wines with limited editions and two different concepts: CRONO (single varietal wines) and EON (blend wine). This year, we are also planting vineyards in Escaroupim, Tejo with the following grape varieties: Alicante Branco, Fernão-Pires, Trincadeira das Pratas, and Bastardo.
