O Produtor, tasting note published in January 14th 2022
The small Ningxia Cabernet berries bring a wealth of charm and freshness. Compare this wine with Cabernets from around the world, and you’ll be surprised – and so will your guests – by both its quality and value for money.
The Château’s second wine represents the latest generation of top-quality wines from China.
– Vines between 12 and 18 years old
– 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (small, healthy berries with brown seeds and 24 brix)
– 7 different French barrels, medium toast, most of them second and third use, aged in the Château’s cellar for 18 months
– Cultivation, fermentation, and blending under the supervision of Lenz M. Moser (Chief Winemaker at Château Changyu Moser XV), who spends the entire harvest period in Ningxia – and visits the Château five times a year – around 3 months in total annually.

Chateau Changyu Moser XV
The principle idea of this château is the cooperation between CHANGYU as the pioneering premiere Chinese winery and the European/Austrian Moser Family: a challenging and exciting combination of Chinese emergence to the global wine world, aspiring to belong in the company of the world’s finest and of the European spirit for excellence of 15 generations in wine. Despite of all the difference in culture from two worlds, CHANGYU and Lenz M. Moser became partners 12 years ago and still share the same vision: being the first from China in going global and establish CHATEAU CHANGYU MOSER XV as the leading château from China.
