O Produtor, tasting note published in August 12th 2022

Very elegant and fine, modern style that preserves all the soul of the Douro indigenous grape varieties. Aroma that harmoniously combines the great concentration of the Upper Douro reds and all its complexity. Wild berries, rock-rose notes, spices, very expressive violets and very fresh notes of basil and bergamot. The ageing allowed a wine of great aromatic elegance, where the Douro aromas are not masked by excessive barrel notes. Very smooth and ripe tannins, fresh and aromatic, very elegant with an unusually long finish.

Rui Roboredo Madeira Vinhos

In one of the most remote areas of the Iberian Peninsula, on the border between the Douro Superior and Beira Alta regions, it was among family that its passion grew for the aromas and smells of this land that shapes our character.
After coming into contact with many cultures of living and making wine, in various parts of the globe, Rui Madeira returned to the great Douro valley convinced that they have the potential to make the best wines in the world.
Out of respect for nature, due to the way we cultivate their vineyards and wines reflect his experiences, which smell and taste of land, of schist, damp granite, rock rose, wild flowers and fruit.
It is in the winery that he makes wines with the character of our ‘terroir’, expressed through native grape varieties, which instil with a style of their own and an international profile.
