O Produtor, tasting note published in May 27th 2022

Intense aroma of great complexity, aromas of forest fruits and rock-rose from Touriga Franca, spices and red fruits from Tinta Roriz and floral notes of violets very fresh and elegant from Touriga Nacional. Aging for 12 months in American and French barrels gives the ageing notes of a great Douro wine with a modern and international profile. In the mouth it is sweet and enveloping, with very smooth noble tannins, long and warm finish.

Castello D’Alba

“Manual harvesting, reception with total destemming and immediate crushing, the grapes are fermented by grape variety and by batches, so that from the beginning a rigorous selection can be made which will later give rise to the blend, very traditional in the old world, revealing the art of selecting grapes by parcels and the art of selecting wines to blend later. Fermentation is carried out in small capacity stainless steel vats, with temperatures around 28 ºC. Smooth and controlled macerations in order to obtain elegant and aromatic wines.
Part of the blend is aged for a period of 12 months in predominantly French oak, with a small percentage of American wood.

Rui Roboredo Madeira Vinhos

In one of the most remote areas of the Iberian Peninsula, on the border between the Douro Superior and Beira Alta regions, it was among family that its passion grew for the aromas and smells of this land that shapes our character.
After coming into contact with many cultures of living and making wine, in various parts of the globe, Rui Madeira returned to the great Douro valley convinced that they have the potential to make the best wines in the world.
Out of respect for nature, due to the way we cultivate their vineyards and wines reflect his experiences, which smell and taste of land, of schist, damp granite, rock rose, wild flowers and fruit.
It is in the winery that he makes wines with the character of our ‘terroir’, expressed through native grape varieties, which instil with a style of their own and an international profile.
