O Produtor, tasting note published in November 21st 2020
A blend of grape varieties with a lot of personality typical of the Dão region, which give rise to a wine with fresh and fruity aromas, where a slight ageing of part of the wines that make up the blend in French oak barrels has added body, presence and complexity, without compromising the traditional elegance and smoothness that are the hallmarks of the reds of this region. Should be served at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC.
The different varieties are picked at the stage of maturation considered ideal for each of the varieties that make up this blend. Manual harvest in 15kg boxes. Manual selection on a selection belt. After destemming and crushing, vinification in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, with maceration suited to its characteristics. After the malolactic fermentation, part of the wines obtained from Touriga Nacionaland Alfrocheiro Preto were aged in French oak barrels of different ages, and the rest in stainless steel vats.
