O Produtor, tasting note published in February 27th 2019
It shows ripe fruits combined with some violets and spices. Very fresh Excellent structure, even in a very elegant wine. Still very tight and young, with beautiful tannins. Very long.
Buçaco red wines have been, and still are, always vinified in the same way and with the same methods as before. The fact that the grapes originated in the regions of Dão and Bairrada guarantees a brilliant wine, which evolves nobly in bottle. These wines ferment and age in French oak barrels for 12 months. From the beginning, in 1917, this wine was conceived to be a traditional blend of two regions, Dão and Bairrada. From Dão, the grape is Touriga Nacionaland Bairrada, Baga.
