O Produtor, tasting note published in May 27th 2020

Intense red colour. Aroma of black berry fruits, eucalyptus, aniseed and mineral notes transmitting complexity. Wine with a balanced acidity and volume, supported by well-matured tannins that carry intense fruity flavours and toasted notes that prolong the finish.

Borges

Total destemming of the grapes followed by gentle crushing. Part of the blend is vinified initially by the traditional method of grinding with steps, finishing the fermentation in stainless steel, and the remaining blend is vinified only in stainless steel. In both vinifications, a brief pre-fermentation maceration is carried out, followed by fermentation in a 6-8 day period at a controlled temperature of 28 to 30 ° C with relatively frequent surpluses. After alcoholic fermentation, a maceration period is carried out, after which the wine is separated from the masses with which it is fermented and, finally, malolactic fermentation is provoked. All the stages of the wine in French oak barrels for 30 months and 4 months in bottle.
