O Produtor, tasting note published in October 27th 2023
It has a beautiful, slightly violet red colour. The intense aromas are dominated by red fruits, floral notes (violet) and spices. Intense and with a very characteristic profile, it is a persistent wine, with a fresh and long finish.
The harvest took place in September. With careful selection in the vineyard the grapes were totally destemmed and crushed. After pre-fermentative skin contact cold for 48 hours fermentation took place in stainless steel vats with controlled temperature with a total maceration of over 40 days but without major extractions.
The wine moved to stainless steel vats where malolactic fermentation occurred to then move directly to 500 litre first, second and third use French oak barrels where it aged for a period of 12 months.
