Quinta dos Murças

Near one of the limits of Quinta dos Murças, we find steep slopes forming a valley. In this location, mostly oriented to the north, more protected from the sun, when the wind passes through, we hear it whistling.

It is from vineyards like those found there, with unique characteristics, at higher altitudes, that Assobio originates.

Made from the most traditional grape varieties of the region, and respecting the winemaking tradition of the oldest demarcated wine region in the world, Assobio red is fresh, versatile, and with great gastronomic aptitude.

Winemaking: Manual harvest, selection table, destemming, crushing, cold pre-fermentation maceration, alcoholic fermentation with controlled temperatures (Max 25ºC), pneumatic pressing. 10% of the blend aged in French oak barrels for 6 months.

Winemaker: Lourenço Charters.
