Ruby colored wine accented with violet tones. It has an intense red fruit aroma. In the mouth it has a red fruit flavor and is a wine with good tannins, fresh and balanced.

Following the path of its “noblest” brother, this wine intends to demonstrate that the queen grape variety of the red wines of the Setúbal Peninsula is still alive. Made only with Castelão, its greatest predicates are its freshness and aromatic complexity. Vinification: Fermented in a stainless steel vat at 30ºC. Aging: Aging in French and American oak for 6 months.

António Saramago

António José Ribeiro Saramago was born in village of Azeitão in 1948. From very early on demonstrated passion for the world of wine, which is not unrelated the influence of his father, José Maria Saramago, cellarman of José Maria da Fonseca winery for 42 years. With more than 200 won awards many of its wines have been widely appreciated by national and international trade press, especially by Jancis Robinson and Robert Parker.
