O Produtor, tasting note published in May 27th 2019
Sophisticated and profound. Ruby of relative density. Vegetable nose, with a half wild side, which seduces. Slight gunpowder, fuse, fresh fruit and black pepper. The mouth is very fresh, in a picture full of contrasts. High acidity, medium tannins, final dryness. It is a wine with a strong personality.
Selection of grapes in the cut and transport in boxes directly to the cellar. Vinification with crushing and total destemming. Fermentation in an open press with controlled temperature with 6 months aging in American oak barrels.

The history of 100HECTARES wines starts at the beginning of the 70s, when the Brás e Cigarro family – holder of a huge passion for the Douro region – makes major investments in the purchase and renovation of properties located in the Douro sub-region – Baixo Corgo The family farms are the source of their wines, with the production being made exclusively from grapes from their properties, which is at the heart of the family’s production philosophy. of their vineyards was sold to competitors in the region, but in 2009 André and Filipe Brás wanted to make their own production of raw material profitable, vinifying an estimated value between 30% and 40% of the grapes. Some surplus production is assigned to producers in region, with total production under its own brand not yet possible.
The duty of passing the legacy from generation to generation is a feeling rooted in the family.
