O Produtor, tasting note published in May 27th 2019

Produced from a rigorous selection of grapes from Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca, from the best vineyards in this Douro region. This Colheita 17º presents a red color, a very balanced nose and well filled with notes of wild fruits and cherries, spices and a light floral touch, in a background where the elegance of vanilla and barrel notes is evident, in the mouth it reveals a wine voluminous and enveloping, where the fruit and spices reveal a beautiful integration and the tannins demonstrate a good firmness, showing signs of potential in the bottle, long and persistent finish.

100 Hectares

The history of 100HECTARES wines starts at the beginning of the 70s, when the Brás e Cigarro family – holder of a huge passion for the Douro region – makes major investments in the purchase and renovation of properties located in the Douro sub-region – Baixo Corgo The family farms are the source of their wines, with the production being made exclusively from grapes from their properties, which is at the heart of the family’s production philosophy. of their vineyards was sold to competitors in the region, but in 2009 André and Filipe Brás wanted to make their own production of raw material profitable, vinifying an estimated value between 30% and 40% of the grapes. Some surplus production is assigned to producers in region, with total production under its own brand not yet possible.
The duty of passing the legacy from generation to generation is a feeling rooted in the family.
