O Produtor, tasting note published in January 27th 2023

It presents an intense red color, aroma of red fruits like plums and blackberries on a vanilla background from French oak barrels where it aged for 1 year. In the mouth it is voluminous and rich in ripe and fruity flavors and with some fine tannin to give it greater longevity.

100 Hectares

The history of 100HECTARES wines starts at the beginning of the 70s, when the Brás e Cigarro family – holder of a huge passion for the Douro region – makes major investments in the purchase and renovation of properties located in the Douro sub-region – Baixo Corgo The family farms are the source of their wines, with the production being made exclusively from grapes from their properties, which is at the heart of the family’s production philosophy. of their vineyards was sold to competitors in the region, but in 2009 André and Filipe Brás wanted to make their own production of raw material profitable, vinifying an estimated value between 30% and 40% of the grapes. Some surplus production is assigned to producers in region, with total production under its own brand not yet possible.
The duty of passing the legacy from generation to generation is a feeling rooted in the family.
