Winemaking: During the pre-blending work on our 2021 whites and rosés in December 2021, all the reds were also tasted. Both those resting in steel tanks and those in barrels. None of the reds were blended at this stage, remaining as the original varietals they were. It became very clear that we wanted to create a Grenache-based red wine to be released early, with all its youthful charm and fruity splendor. During the final blending adjustments in January, a small proportion of Merlot resting in oak was added to give it a bit more body and sensuality.
This fruity wine aged in steel tanks for 6 months, was bottled in March 2022, and released in May 2022.
A fresh and bright red wine that brings spring into your living room and should be enjoyed immediately, without further ado.
Delicious with tuna! A large, thick, well-marbled piece of fat. Grill for 1 minute on each side, leaving it perfectly raw inside. Top with a salsa made from good olive oil, chopped red onion, chives, capers, and a touch of lemon juice, and you’re guaranteed a ticket to paradise! Or, enjoy a large glass, or more, of Alaro on its own in the sunset light! It’s the perfect wine for summer afternoons in the sunshine! With or without food, but always well-chilled and in the best company.
