Over the years, this wine has concentrated mahogany and amber nuances with yellow highlights. Opulent on the nose, with a core of honey and butterscotch, fragrances of dried peaches and plums, as is an aura of mint and eucalyptus. This wine is sweet and molasses, featuring diverse fruit in a well-balanced whole. The wine is clear and lingers on the palate, marking the end of a very pleasant start.
Quinta Vale D. Maria is a very old property in the heart of the Douro Demarcated Region. A small but dedicated team of winemakers and winemakers – Sandra Tavares da Silva, Joana Pinhão and Cristiano van Zeller – try to ensure that each of the Port or Douro DOC wines represents the best that the Region has to offer. The efforts try to be characterized by innovation and differentiation. The aim is that the wines reflect personality, character, pleasure, fun, being directed towards people and the pleasure of life.
