Quinta do Sagrado

This is a wine made with grapes from a single harvest, revealing itself to be very full bodied, vigorous and fruity. It is aged in wood for 4 to 6 years before being bottled. It is traditionally made in granite presses and the ageing takes place in oak barrels, which gives it a complexity of flavours and a very intense and attractive bouquet. In order to maintain the excellent characteristics of this wine, the bottling uses the same method as the vintages.

Sagrado

Located in the heart of the Douro, Quinta do Sagrado has 20 hectares of terraced vineyards. The vineyards planted in 14 plots separated by grape varieties, in addition to its privileged situation, bathed by the river and impacted by all the Douro’s diversity, give the Quinta an unrivalled production of quality and a very high reputation. Quinta do Sagrado is a remarkable estate, born out of tradition, cultivated from a passion for Port Wine and created to produce special, premium wines of the finest selection that the Douro can offer the world. The wines are produced in the traditional way, through the picking and selection of grapes by hand, foot treading in granite lagares and winemaking in small batches. This process gives Quinta do Sagrado wines a long ageing potential.
