O Produtor, tasting note published in May 25th 2020
A straight wine in colour, with vivid violet tones. On the nose it has wild aromas that evoke the Mediterranean woods of the Quinta. This year the notes of blackberry and ripe black fruit are particularly intense and deep. It is a wine with distinct freshness and marked tannins. The degree of complexity is enhanced by the volume of the palate, with a lively and striking finish.
Grapes harvested manually at the beginning of September, with a very careful selection. After manual harvesting, the grapes were carefully inspected and destemmed. Intense maceration was then carried out in the first 48 hours to extract all the good components from the skins, followed by fermentation in a lagar with temperature control. This was interrupted with the addition of brandy at the exact moment, followed by a process of aging under careful conditions of minimal oxidation. Ageing for 2 years in high-volume tanks.
