Quinta de Adorigo

Located in the breathtaking Douro region, Quinta de Santo António de Adorigo is a true historical and winemaking treasure, nestled in the hills near Peso da Régua. With old vineyards featuring 38 native Douro grape varieties planted in 1955, Quinta de Adorigo embodies the region’s rich viticultural heritage. In 2019, under the leadership of Joaquim Fernandes – a passionate advocate of traditional Port wines and the stunning Douro landscape – we began a new chapter that blends tradition, innovation, and sustainability. The construction of our new winery, completed in 2023, marked a significant milestone, allowing us to produce high-quality wines more efficiently.

At Quinta de Adorigo, we are dedicated to crafting white and red table wines that capture the true essence of the Douro. We preserve the legacy of Port wine and our original vineyards by employing sustainable farming practices and meticulous winemaking techniques to ensure authenticity and regional character. Every bottle we produce reflects our history and relentless pursuit of quality. With a rich heritage, pre-phylloxera vineyards, sustainable practices, and an unparalleled wine tourism experience, the Quinta offers a unique and memorable sensory journey. More than just a winery, Quinta de Adorigo is a true guardian of the Douro’s history and culture, a testament to the enduring legacy of Douro viticulture, with an unwavering commitment to excellence and sustainability.
