O Produtor, tasting note published in May 15th 2023
Color: Chestnut with a fine golden halo.
Nose: Rich, elegant, and delicate aromas of black pepper, rum, caramelized apricots, along with a delightful citrus acidity.
Palate: Very concentrated wine with an excellent, enveloping, and persistent palate. Citrus aromas of orange and lemon provide a refreshing acidity. It lingers in the mouth in a long, fresh, and very balanced way.
From the finest and oldest port wines aging in casks for 5 decades, in one of the oldest properties in the Douro with 4 centuries of history, comes this Quinta da Vacaria Tawny 50 Years.
Maturation: Tawnies are wines aged in old 630-liter casks for many years.
Decades of aging in oak casks have made this wine deep and imposing, with remarkable freshness, liveliness, and depth.
