O Produtor, tasting note published in October 10th 2023

With its attractive ruby color, this wine captivates with its excellent fragrance of red fruit, as well as spices and cocoa. Excellent presence on the palate, with fine tannins. Beautiful harmony in a robust Late Bottled Vintage (LBV)!

Portal

It is from the vineyards of Quinta do Portal, located in the fantastic Pinhão valley, that the Portal Late Bottled Vintage 2018 is born, which is ideal.

2018 was characterized by a slow harvest, allowing us to harvest white grapes with excellent balance and wait for the good maturation of the reds at high altitudes. So, we are confident in the freshness of the white wines and the concentration and balance of the red wines.

Vinification and aging: Alcoholic fermentation: Maceration in a lagar and closed tank in stainless steel, at a temperature of 24-26ºC. The Portal Late Bottled Vintage 2018 aged for 4 years in old casks. Unfiltered. Bottled in November 2022.

Our suggestion: Enjoy it with your ice cream or red berry compote, mild cheeses, or casually drink it after your dinner in a gathering with friends.
