O Produtor, tasting note published in May 27th 2015
Golden-coloured, with a delicious nutty and almond aroma that lingers in the mouth with a fresh and concentrated finish, due to the long ageing in small old oak barrels.
The grapes for this wine undergo a long maceration with the skins. It is vinified in lagares, occasionally with foot treading. Fermentation continues until almost dry before the addition of grape spirit. Aged in small old oak barrels in cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia for a minimum of three and a half years before bottling.

Niepoort Vinhos
The Niepoort family has been creating Port Wines since 1842. The first property in Douro was bought in 1987 and Dirk Niepoort started a new Era in the company with the creation of the first Redoma red in 1991. In the last years Niepoort took on the great challenge of interpreting other soils and climates and acquired two properties in other regions, Dão and Bairrada. Discover the Niepoort Triangle which express the different terroirs: Schist (Douro), Limestone (Bairrada) and Granite (Dão).
