It has a dark yellow colour and aromas reminiscent of canned fruit, roasted apples and dried flowers. Full-bodied on the palate; a smooth and enveloping taste.
There are several different styles of white ports associated with different degrees of sweetness, the minimum allowed for sugar content is 17,5 grs, for extra dry and 140 grs. The sweetest variation of white. White Port is an excellent aperitif, with an average of three years of ageing and balanced sweetness. It reveals its fruity component when served very cold.
