O Produtor, tasting note published in May 15th 2021
The Golden White 1971 presents us with a slightly lighter colour among the Golden White trilogy, delicate aroma of macerated figs, varnish, nutmeg...
In the mouth it is really delicious and subtle, with a very prolonged taste, where again the ripened figs appear in the foreground, flowing into the nutmeg and watery molasses.
With the official Port goblet in hand, the same characteristic Golden White... the blessed aroma that endlessly lingers.
The third Golden White was really a big surprise, when we started to promote the launch of a Golden White from the seventies, many were those… Port Wine lovers who tried to guess the vintage year. The Golden White 1971… was and is, something extraordinary. For those who were searching for some time for a fabulous Port Wine, associated for instance with the year of birth or some special event, well… here it is and although it is a difficult year to find, it is still a White Harvest Port.
