O Produtor, tasting note published in September 16th 2021

Colour: Brown, with a mahogany core and a dark greenish amber on the rims;
Nose: Eccentric, initially revealing notes of old wood, varnish and wax. Amidst a great complexity of aromas, pralines, various dried fruit liquors, roasted coffee, some tobacco, some dark chocolate that blends with the caramel/ molasses (praline), honey and discreet vinegars are revealed.
Mouth: Where the wine reveals its best characteristics. A very unctuous, vigorous, expressive and very ample attack, where the aromas reveal all its best characteristics.
Nuts, honey, figs, tobacco, toasted caramel (praline) are the first to stand out. Old wood notes evolve into vinegars and spices that mutate into many different varieties.
The wine seems to have no end, being very long and persistent but with present acidity, which makes it fresh, gluttonous and irresistible.

Alchemy Wines

Originally from the city of Leeds, he settled in the city of Porto in the 19th century as a Port Wine merchant. Its positioning within the sector allowed it a remarkable progression, appearing in the Top Five of the largest merchants of that century according to the books of wine imposition (municipal archive of Oporto). Its vineyards, located in the Demarcated Region of the Douro, have a set of characteristics that are very specific to them. They are located in schist plots, arranged in terraces and take advantage of the very specific microclimate of the Douro Region, thus giving our wines authenticity, exclusivity and rarity.
