With a dark amber color and golden-greenish highlights, this Moscatel presents aromas and flavors of bitter orange jam, marmalade, rancio, very old brandy, tea, dates, preserved figs, hazelnut, honey, and a touch of tartness.
A remarkable balance between sweetness, acidity, and bitterness, with a refreshing sensation on the palate.

Bacalhôa

Limited edition of 200 bottles, bottled 40 years after the 1983 harvest. Only time will tell when this extraordinary vintage will be bottled again.

It all begins with the Moscatel de Setúbal grapes from our Serra da Ursa vineyard, located in the hills at the foot of Arrábida, an exceptional terroir for the great fortified wines of the DO Setúbal.

The harvest was completed in late October 1983, and the winemaking followed traditional practices. Since then, the wine has aged in one of our special cellars, where large natural temperature fluctuations enhance the complexity and concentration of aromas and flavors unique among the fortified wines of Setúbal. After 40 years, we decided to bottle this limited edition of 200 bottles of 0.5 L.

Serving suggestion: perfect for finishing a meal with intense-flavored cheeses, desserts (pairs particularly well with chocolate and bitter orange), with coffee or after coffee.
