Casa Amarás

Amarás: More than a Company, a Philosophy.

At Casa Amarás, respect for the environment guides each step of mezcal production, from agave planting to distillation, grounded in the principle “Always Amarás” and three key pillars: Community, Territory, and Love for the Earth.

Community: Casa Amarás works with over 20 master mezcaleros, preserving the artisanal tradition of mezcal across 13 Mexican regions, and provides training to small agave producers. For the creation of its labels, it collaborates with over 40 artists.

Territory: By producing agave organically and using composts from its own distillery, Amarás maintains a sustainable planting program that balances harvest and replanting. Wild agaves are harvested only with a strict replanting plan, preserving 11 species and 20 ethnospecies. With its nurseries and reforestation plan of native species, Casa Amarás, in collaboration with the National Autonomous University of Mexico, explores new agave species like the Chuparrosa to promote a sustainable future for mezcal.

Love for the Earth: A pioneer in carbon neutrality, Casa Amarás continuously reduces and offsets its environmental impact. Partnering with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), HEIFER, and universities, it supports forest conservation, soil protection, and water management initiatives, promoting sustainability at each stage of the mezcal cycle.

Its expansion to over 30 countries and the “Best Mezcal in the World” award in 2021 reaffirm Casa Amarás’ commitment to excellence and sustainability, celebrating life and the planet in every bottle.
