O Produtor, tasting note published in July 13th 2012

Golden tones, complex aroma with toasted hazelnut, mocha and toasted nuts, complemented by notes of mirabelle and red plum. A very broad aromatic spectrum, with savoury qualities on the palate, along with notes of dried fruit, spice (vanilla and cardamom) and verbena. It is long, marked by a chalky citrus finish.

Bollinger

In the unworked vineyards, there is an almost lost memory: an extraordinary and moving reminder of our cultural heritage, of the Champagne region before phylloxera. Miraculously, two plots survived this outbreak, Chaudes Terres and Clos Saint-Jacques in Aÿ. Maison Bollinger’s Vieilles Vignes Françaises are made exclusively from these legendary plots.

Bollinger

Champagne Bollinger is one of the most famous houses of Champagne in northern France. It is noted for its muscular, Pinot Noir-dominant cuvée, and is widely available around the world.

The house, originally known as Renaudin-Bollinger & Cie, was founded in 1829. It passed through generations of the Bollinger family until 2008 when, for the first time in its history, the president came from outside the family. Bollinger Champagne is still independently owned by Société Jacques Bollinger.
