Robert Parker, tasting note published in July 21st 2022
The wine is concentrated and fresh on the nose, with aromas of crystallized citrus (lemon zest and lime pulp). It is pure, round, and complex on the palate, with good intensity and structure, and a very good finish. This is a surprisingly charming and vinous Extra Brut with a very delicate effervescence.
This Extra Brut Premier Cru is a subtle blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It comes from vines over 30 years old, cultivated in chemical-free soils, treated by organic and biodynamic methods, respecting the rhythms of the plant. Vinification: Slow fermentation in barrels and tanks with long aging on the lees.

Nicolas Maillart
Our family association with viticulture can be traced back to 1753, when our ancestors grew vines in the nearby village of Chamery; although there is one document that suggests the tradition goes back even further, referring to a ‘vineyard measure’ in 1533 that was mapped by Pierre Maillart, a sworn surveyor working in Chamery for the abbey of Saint Nicaise.
