O Produtor, tasting note published in February 22nd 2022
To the eye: In the light, the pale pink of this rosé champagne reveals an orange hue, enlivened by fine, persistent bubbles in the glass.
Nose: Intriguingly rich and complex, the nose opens with aromas of red fruit, dominated by redcurrant, before delicately evolving towards notes of blackcurrant and strawberry. Over time, these aromas soften, giving way to dried orange peel, apricot and walnut.
Palate: The palate has lovely acidity, rich, generous blackcurrant and strawberry flavours mixed with a hint of English toffee, and a milky toffee finish.
Made by adding red wine to the blend, Brut Rosé Premier Cru reflects the quality of the pinot grape varieties of the Montagne de Reims and their impressive aromatic complexity. This champagne is a pure distillation of elegance and intensity.
