With a deep commitment to upsetting the status quo and bringing viticulture back to its forgotten roots in our region, the current generation at Morgado do Quintão is trying to shape a new perspective on Algarve wine, seizing an opportunity to nurture the land where the vine first arrived on the Iberian Peninsula. Vineyards 50 years old, manual harvesting for 20 kg boxes. Whole bunch pressing, hyper-oxidation of the must without addition of sulphur, cold decantation, fermentation and ageing for 6 months, 50% in neutral barrels and 50% in stainless steel tanks.

Morgado do Quintão
Wildly enveloped by the pastoral verdure of the Algarvian Barrocal, Morgado do Quintão was founded in the early 1800s by the Count of Silves, and still remains in the same family, one whose unerring and resilient passion for the land, food, adventure and entertaining merges with a love of local heritage, beauty and conservation.
