In 2014, the harvest of 2011 got the 4th place in the Wine Spectator’s Top 100. This year, the red wine Quinta do Vale Meão got the 4th place on Wine Enthusiast’s Top 100 Cellar Selection – a ranking for the best wines to keep in your wine cellar – with the harvest of 2012.
In fact, it is a great indicator of quality, either because of the ranking’s hard requirements – the average classification is more than 95 points – either because it shows a good consistency, being present on the top 5 of two benchmark publications for two years in a row.
