Fiat lux is a quite meaningful latin expression and it could also be the name of a small italian car. However, in what relates to wine storage, we’d rather keep things in the dark.
A long exposure to UV-rays present in sunlight or fluorescent lightbulbs will impact your wine’s taste and aroma – and we mean “a negative impact”, specially on white wines.
Keep your bottles in the dark and avoid buying them from retailers who torture them on shinny shelves. The only place your bottles are meant to shine is at your dinner table.
