Wine isn’t all the same and different wine styles require different care.
The temperature, the glass type and the food the wine is pairing with – all this will affect the way a particular wine will feel to you, so you may find these tips useful:
- You should open the bottle at the dinner table with your guests
- There is no such thing as “room temperature”. White wines must be served between 8º-12º Celsius, Reds will take 16º-18º Celsius.
- You should be the first to taste the wine, so if there’s any cork residue it wil be in your glass, not on a guest’s
- If you are enjoying different wines, whites come first, old and bodied come later.
