This years’ results of Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, one of the most renowned events on wine ratings in the world, are already known. This year, the judging panel was composed by 300 people, from 54 countries.

The 2016 Edition took place in Plovdiv, Bulgary, and Portuguese wines got 357 medals, in total. From those, 16 were “Grand Gold Medals”, only given to the best wines in the world.

In this context, Portugal was the second country with more “Grand Gold” medals, only behind Spain (with 18). Italy and France got, respectively, 13 and 11 medals.
