The Heróis do Mar (Heros of the sea) Festival celebrates sea lovers, seafood, and fish in a unique gastronomic event in Portugal, from October 3rd to 6th, in Lisbon.
As featured in the wine magazine, Revista de Vinhos, and in the words of Nuno Guedes Vaz Pires, director of Essência Company, the company responsible for organizing the event, the festival “Heróis do Mar presents an innovative concept that we will create and bring to life, with a language and a set of unique experiences that can—and should—be shared with family or friends. We don’t want to separate waters. We want a sea that unites us, that brings together those passionate about life’s pleasures, from gastronomy to music, from wine to the art of learning how to create and appreciate.”
Festival highlights include:
- More than 20 renowned chefs, both national and international, and a diverse offer of more than 10 restaurants and food boxes
- Cooking classes and live demonstrations
- Discussions focused on the future of the sea
- Kitchen parties with DJs
- Banquets and VIP areas
- Live concerts: Lura (October 3rd), Matias Damásio (October 4th), GNR (October 5th), and Mallu Magalhães (October 6th)
- A market showcasing the best of Portugal: gourmet and traditional products, fine grocery items, traditional sweets, olive oils, jams, cheeses, chocolates, preserves, teas, coffees, fresh fish and seafood, and of course, wines.
