Being a winelover, you have probably experienced a situation like this. You are having a pleasant dinner with friends and you drop some red wine on your clothes, on the tablecloths, or even on that special carpet.

Next time it happens to you, don’t freak out! Red wine stains are not that difficult to remove! Below we give you some tricks and tips:

  1. dishwashing detergent and hydrogen peroxide

Use two parts of hydrogen peroxide for each part of detergent. You should see the red wine stain disappearing very quickly. Note: even if it’s ok on white clothes, alkaline detergents do not only remove the wine stains; they also remove some materials’ color.

  2. white wine vinagre and laundry detergent

Cover the stain with white vinagre and rub it with detergent. After it, wash it with hot water and the stain is gone!

  3. Salt and lemon

Pass the stain through cold water and remove the excess. Put some lemon juice on it and rub it with a generous amount of salt. Clean it with cold water to remove the lemon and the salt. Repeat the process until the stain is gone!
